Additive Solution

Sterile, non-pyrogenic preservation solution used to extend the shelf life of red blood cells up to 42 days. It is designed for use following whole blood collection and separation, ensuring optimal storage and viability of red blood cells for transfusion. AS-3 contains a balanced mix of dextrose, adenine, sodium chloride, citrate, and phosphate, which support red blood cell metabolism and maintain cell integrity during storage.
