Un buon esempio di questo è il mantenimento della sterilità di un set per la flebo e di una bottiglia di soluzione in vetro, e l'equalizzazione della pressione interna della bottiglia tramite uno sfiato sulla punta. Le caratteristiche di sfiato possono essere ottenute utilizzando membrane idrofobiche.

Poiché utilizziamo diverse materie prime per i telai e/o l'housing dei nostri prodotti, è possibile scegliere metodi di assemblaggio di tenuta meccanica (interference fit) o di incollaggio (standard con cicloesanone, cianoacrilato di metile o metiletilchetone).
Le prese d'aria disponibili hanno chiusure luer femmina o connettori luer slip maschio.
